Awareness Campaigns
Awareness campaigns were conducted to educate students & people who are unaware of having refractive errors about the importance of routine eye examination. These campaigns took place at our center as well as several schools in Sidon district, covering more than 500 people.
Beirut Explosion Response Campaign
After the Beirut Blast on August 4th 2020, around 1,000 boxes of in kind food , vegetable baskets ,diapers, milk formula, sanitary pads & clothes were distributed at our distribution point in Achrafieh. Moreover, we opened our eye clinic for the blast survivors who had eye injuries.
Awareness & Eye Check up Campaigns
More than 1,000 children from public schools and old Saida city got free eye examinations and were provided with eye glasses if needed. Corneal Transplantation
More than 80 penetrating Keratoplasty surgeries take place yearly in collaboration with certain hospitals across Lebanon. Including follow up on our patients by our ophthalmologist. Moreover, more than 1000 corneal transplantation surgeries & other surgeries have occurred since 1993.
Diabetes and Eye Health Campaigns
NEC welcomed more than 300 patients yearly in 2015, 2016, and 2018 to the center where they got their insulin levels tested and their eyes checked for free.
